Water and Health: Where Science Meets Policy, jointly sponsored by the Institute for the Environment and the Water Institute at UNC, will consider drinking water supply, sanitation, hygiene and water resources in both the developing and developed worlds with a strong public health emphasis. The conference is accompanied by several exciting events before and during the conference dates. Don’t miss the opportunity to network with and learn from the unique array of national and international leaders!

Events include:

  • Networking Weekend on October 23rd – 24th
  • Main conference activities on October 25th – 26th
  • The launch dinner for the Water Institute on October 25th
  • Engineers Without Borders 2010 Regional Workshop on October 22nd – 24th

The University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health has been a leader in water and sanitation for more than 50 years.  The School is unique among public health schools in bringing the disciplines of health and environmental engineering together under one roof.  The Water Institute  – which will be launched during the Conference – will continue this tradition by working at the cross-sections of water, health, and development. A strategic partnership between the Water Institute and WASRAG is already developing.
