Honduras Regional Team formed

A Wasrag Regional Team has been formed for Rotary clubs in Honduras, led by Tony Medina of the Rotary Club of Usula.  Tony is the District 4250 Water Committee chair, a Board member of Wasrag, and led his club in its recent completion of a 3H project in the mountainous El Merendon region above San Pedro Sula.  He presented the first FV Global Grant to provide microcredit, also in El Merendon. Tony is also one of the 3 District Trainers and a Future Vision instructor.

The Honduras Regional Team was formed at the recent Water Conference at Future Vision Project Fair in Tegucigalpa, and includes over 20 Rotarians from many clubs in Honduras, plus U.S. states and provinces in Canada.  Stew Martin of D5100 in Oregon, a member of the Wasrag Operations Team, will serve as the Wasrag Liaison. The Honduras RT is working on a plan to use circuit riders to assess the current needs of over 50 communities where Rotary has done WaSH work in the past 10 years.
